I’ll be honest with y’all: I saw Run with the Wind and I’m obsessed with it. Who knew the story of 10 college kids trying to do one of the biggest relay races in Japan would have me in absolute shambles but it did. From the storytelling to the art, and let’s not even start on the soundtrack, Run with the Wind is a masterpiece. I fell in love with everyone’s reason for wanting to complete the Hakone Ekiden and never cheer for fictional characters more. I felt so seen in Prince and truly marveled over Kakeru’s growth. I shed so many tears of pain and joy with this anime and can guarantee I’ll be rewatching it for years to come.
