6 More Ongoing BL Manhwa I’m Reading on Lezhin

If there is one thing I’m good for, it’s continuing to spend my money on new series on Lezhin after telling myself I would stop. Each month I promise myself I will not start a new series until one I’m reading ends, and every month I never listen. But in my defense, I just love new series! I’m always interested in what’s being added to the app and it’s so easy to keep up with a series if you’re buying chapters each week.

I went through some of my older ongoing reading lists, and realized it’s been a while since I’ve made an updated list so here I am. The legal BL dealer is back to share what she’s been reading, week to week. Keep in mind, there are other stories I’ve listed before that are still ongoing that I’m reading too. So essentially, I’m reading too much and have a problem. Oh well!

Love is in the Heir by PEANUT

44 episodes and counting, updates every Monday

Former classmates, Myeong-seong and Jeonsu couldn’t be anymore different. Jeonsu is a carefree adult, messy and clumsy, but sweet-natured and free. Myoeng-seong is rigid and uptight, evidence of his strict upbringing, in order to inherit the family business. When these two meet and suddenly end up in a situationship (disguised as “dating lessons”) Meyong-seong suddenly finds himself wanting to be freed from his expected life and wanting more with Jeonsu.

This story has me in a CHOKEHOLD!!! Opposites attract? Two unlikely people changing each other for the better? Situationship but we fall in love? Yes, yes, yes! I love Jeonsu and Myeong-seong sooo much. Myeong-seong has been through and is still going through a lot. His time with Jeonsu is a bright spot for him and it’s slowly changing what he wants for his life. I think it’s near the end soon and I can’t wait for these two to make it official.

Im Sihyuk has always lived his life following the “rules” to a tee and building a perfect facade. But when he’s dumped by his girlfriend, he thinks “what’s the point?” Im Sihyuk starts letting loose, which is how he ends up drunk and having a one night-stand with Do Geonwoo, a part-timer at the establishment he got drunk. When Geonwoo takes Sihyuk home, he says “I only kiss someone I’m dating,” Sihyuk kisses him anyway. So they’re dating now, right??

This little cute mishap is captivating my heart. Geonwoo is obviously inexperienced but trying to bluff in order to continue seeing Sihyuk. Sihyuk on the other hand is trying to go with the flow because he’s turning a new leaf. These two are so cute and I’m excited to see Sihyuk give in to love.

Accidental Baby by Luharang, art by Capri

9 episodes and counting, updates every Tuesday

Taking place in the omegaverse, this story centers Doh Ihyeon, an omega workaholic who also suffers from an inability to distinguish people’s faces. These two things on their own may not be big deals, but coupled together and mix in a one night stand, it is a recipe for disaster. When Ihyeon has a one night stand and ends up pregnant, he’s fine not knowing who the father is and raising the baby on his own. But why does his superior, Seo Jeong-un, keep trying to get close to him??

This BL manhwa is FRESH off the press on Lezhin, and I immediately had to jump on board. Honestly, plots like this give me so much second-hand anxiety. However, I’m working on pushing past my comfort zone with wacky premises like this. Plus it doesn’t hurt that I love the art. There is a huge miscommunication that I’m waiting to unravel and I’m excited to see it all blow up.

Bite to Unlock by Noonggae

When Taehee, a vampire obsessed guy stumbles upon Hyeon-seung, an actual vampire, sparks are bound to fly! Taehee manages to convince Hyeon-seung he won’t reveal his secret and that he’ll help keep him fed. The two start a friend with benefits kind of relationship, while getting to know each other. Soon, Hyeon-seung finds himself falling for Taehee, but he can’t figure out if Taehee feels the same or is just acting this way because Hyeon-seung is a vampire.

I love vampire BLs so this was an automatic “yes” for me. The story is so silly and lighthearted, so it’s been fun to look forward to it every week. Hyeon-seung is down bad and I love how he can’t seem to figure out Taehee’s true feelings. I think Taehee’s feelings are pretty clear but he’s trying to downplay them, so I get Heyon-seung’s confusion.

Bittersour by Dallinkicha

11 episodes and counting, updates every Tuesday

Apartment living isn’t easy, especially when your neighbor has been crying and wailing for days on end. For Jiwon, his neighbor’s crazy behavior ruins a one night stand! So now, it’s personal. His neighbor, Hyeon, is a college kid who’s been dumped. Of course, the solution is to sleep with each other, right?? This opens a can of worms Jiwon is unsure if he wants to deal with but he’s making no hard effort to stop.

Bittersour has easily become my new favorite manhwa I’m keeping up with. I love, love, LOVE Jiwon!!! He’s soo hot and so fun. He’s so flirty with Hyeon, which doesn’t help the ordeal but makes it so cute. Jiwon is also dealing with a coworker/friend who he was in love with in the past and is now getting married but sending mixed signals so this is just going to get messier. But I am eating it all up!

Symbiosis of Luna and Sol by socksoo

44 episodes and counting, updates every Wednesday

Han Boreum seems to always be down on his luck. He has some weird “illness” that doesn’t seem to get better. When finally visits a shaman, he learns that he has too much yin energy and needs to sleep with someone with a lot of yang energy to extend his life. In class he finds this man, Joo Taeyang. Taeyang is oozing yang energy but his attitude couldn’t be worse. The two actually don’t hit it off but still end up sleeping together, thanks to Boreum’s persistence. Boreum and Taeyang end up in this weird, will they, won’t they but what are they situation that only gets weirder.

This story is one where I initially thought the main couple was doomed from the start. Boreum and Taeyang are just SO different, I couldn’t see either of them really falling for each other. But as each chapter goes on, the story really makes a case for why each of them are the way they are now. It’s really a slow burn in terms of feelings and getting to the bottom of certain mysteries, but it’s super enjoyable for me.
