The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague Episode 6 Review

Ahhh we are halfway through the season! I do not want to believe it. The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague has been my favorite new anime this season and I don’t want it to end. Every episode we get has so much love development, I am screaming each and every time. Of course, this week’s episode was no different with it being a group date episode!

Another Date

Here we are, the amusement park date! I’ll be honest, I’m not really an amusement park person but the amusement park date in manga and anime always makes me wish I was. It is always such a fun time for the characters and in the case of The Ice Guy, they made up the cutest amusement park ever! NEKOMI LAND! A cat-themed amusement park, with its own mascots Nickey and Ninnie.

The date idea actually came from Himoru and the gang’s boss, who had tickets for the park. The boss kind of wingman’ed it and invited Fuyutuski for Himoru as he was giving away the tickets. Then when Fuyutuski sees Komori talking to Himoru about Nekomi Land, Fuyutsuki invites her. Not wanting to get on Himoru’s bad side, she invites Saejime who also doesn’t want to get on Himoru’s bad side. Thus the double date was born.

The Date Looks are Giving

Before we get into it, can I just say again how I am LIVING for the fashion in this show? Both Komori and Fuyutsuki looked so cute in their amusement park attire. You already KNOW Komori’s outfit was my favorite (because she is my favorite, hehe.) This is also such a cute and easy outfit for cosplayers. Komori is definitely on my cosplay list.

Fuyutsuki is definitely a long-skirt girl, as you will see most of her outfits has a long or midi-length skirt. Judging by both their outfits, I have no idea what season it is but they both look cute AF. In both looks, the boots are perfect!

Let’s Get Lost Together

At the amusement park, the couples instantly get split up because Fuyutsuki notices a lost child. She and Himoru end up taking the kid to the Lost Child Center (how convenient,) and when they are done, Komori and Saejime are nowhere to be found. Komori and Saejime intentionally miss their calls so that each couple spends time alone together.

I was absolutely swooning when Saejime tried to put his “firm lover” on and was asking Komori if he alone wasn’t good enough for her. He was trying so hard to be taken seriously. Our girl Komori though thought it was cute and funny, and just kept laughing.

An Almost Confession

As our couples are winding down from the day, Himoru and Fuyutsuki have a tender moment at the gift shop trying to decide if they should get matching mugs. Fuyutsuki was concerned that if the office noticed they had matching mugs, they would talk. As Himoru is maybe about to start a love confession, Komori appears to rush them to the end parade.

I was really happy to see this maybe confession interrupted because both Himoru and Fuyutsuki deserve a confession in a place better than the gift shop. I don’t know how it is going to happen and I know I will not be ready emotionally to handle it. BUT I CAN’T WAIT!

With 6 episodes left, do you think they will make an established couple before it ends? I am hoping so! I read the manga many moons ago, so I don’t remember what happens at all. I want everyone to be official soon so we can see them in their full couple glory!
