NEWS: “THE CONCIERGE” Premieres in US Theaters September 11

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably been wondering when the anime film The Concierge was premiering in the US. Crunchyroll acquired it last October, and anime movie fans have been patiently waiting ever since. Luckily, that wait is over! Crunchyroll has announced that the animated feature will be playing one day only in theaters across the US on September 11.

The Concierge is based on the manga The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store by Tsuchika Nishimura. Yoshimi Itazu, part of PRODUCTION I.G Studios, directs the film. The movie stars Natsumi Kawaida (The Demon Prince of Momochi House) as Akino, Takeo Otsuka (A Sign of Affection) as Elulu, and  Kenjiro Tsuda (Jujutsu Kaisen) as Woolly.

Akino is a trainee concierge at the Hokkyoku Department Store, an unusual department store that caters exclusively to animals. Under the watchful eyes of the floor manager and senior concierges, Akino runs around to fulfill the wishes of customers with a myriad of needs and problems in her pursuit to become a full-fledged concierge.

Official Synopsis

For international fans, The Concierge will also be distributed in Italy on September 23, Germany on September 24, Australia on September 26, and Spain on September 27.
