Day 13 of #MarchMangaMadness: My Love Mix-Up! written by Wataru Hinekure and illustrated by Aruko. Published by Viz.

If there is one thing to know about me, it is that I hate misunderstanding tropes. I suffer from severe second-hand embarrassment and will literally need to walk away or drop something if it gets too much. I’ve talked about this before in my Golden Time review video, where I dropped the anime for MONTHS because of a misunderstanding.

All that to say, I put off My Love Mix-Up! for the longest time because I thought the premise was something completely different and I just KNEW I could not handle it. Luckily for me, my friend Naja of BlerdyOtome insisted that it was not what I was thinking and to give it a try. I’m so glad I listened.

I’m still in the process of reading My Love Mix-Up! because it’s just so sweet, I don’t want it to end. But I am loving it so far. The premise is hilarious and the way it is kind of almost making fun of the “misunderstanding” trope by taking it a few steps too far is genius. The manga also has so many gags and moments of breaking the fourth wall, it is a joy to read.

You can definitely expect a video review once the series is done but it’s still going so that won’t be for some time.
