In a little under a month, cats will be taking over the world. Well, at least the fictional world Nyaight of the Living Cat is set in. Crunchyroll announced that the cat-themed anime will be premiering on the streamer next month, on July 6.
The anime, animated by OLM (Pokémon; The Apothecary Diaries,) is based on the manga Night of the Living Cat written by Hawkman and illustrated by Mecha-Roots. The first episode will premiere at Anime Expo 2025 on July 3 on the Crunchyroll Stage in the JW Marriott.
Run! The adorable cats are here. In 20XX, the world is dominated by cats. A virus which turns anyone who touches a cat into a cat has spread into a worldwide nyandemic. Cats rub against people, turning them into cats. Can humanity fight their urge to pet cats to survive in this cat-ridden world?
