Believe it or not, Valentine’s day is right around the corner. If you’re looking for a cute and nerdy date for you and your boo, (or just a fun date with friends or by yourself) you’re in luck. It has been announced that the Kaguya-Sama: Love is War movie, The First Kiss That Never Ends, will be released in the US on Valentine’s Day.
If you may recall, I binged the first season of Kaguya-sama: Love is War exactly three years ago. While I haven’t kept up with it, I absolutely love it. It’s such a fun take on a romance story, and truly is just about the antics the leads will go to say it isn’t love. From social media, I know seasons two and three are just as fun and entertaining as season one was.
Seeing as the movie takes place after season three, and I love seeing anime movies in theaters, I have a lot to catch up on before I go watch the movie. If like me, you also need to catch up, all three seasons are streaming on Crunchyroll and are only 12-13 episodes each. This is the perfect show to binge, as each episode only gets funnier and funnier.
Shuchiin Academy’s student council room, the place where Student Council Vice President Kaguya Shinomiya and President Miyuki Shirogane met. After a long battle in love, these two geniuses communicated their feelings and, at the Hoshin Festival, had their very first kiss. However, there was no clear confession of love. The relationship between these two, who assumed they would be a couple, remains ambiguous. Now, overly conscious of their feelings, they must face the biggest challenge yet: Christmas. It’s Shirogane who wants it to be perfect versus Kaguya who pursues the imperfect situation. This is the very “normal” love story of two geniuses and the first kiss that never ends.
