Crunchyroll has announced the acquisition of the dystopian sci-fi story, DEAD DEAD DEMONS DEDEDEDE DESTRUCTION. It was originally adapted into a 2 part anime film, with Part 1 having been released in theaters on March 22 and Part 2 being released on May 24 only in Japan. The anime film has been adapted into 18 episodes, with never-before-seen footage.
The episodes will stream weekly on Crunchyroll in over 200 countries and territories starting on Thursday, May 23 at 8:00 PM PT.
As the world is threatened by the sudden appearance of a mysterious alien mothership, best friends Kadode Koyama and Oran “Ontan” Nakagawa carry on about their high school life. But as they grow up, they face existential questions, learning adulthood’s complexities and that the true threat may not be from above.
