On March 16, VIZ Media released a teaser trailer and key art for the upcoming anime adaptation of Hirayasumi. The anime is set to be released in 2027 and will be directed by Kei Suezawa (Fate/Grand Order: Camelot – Wandering; Agateram.) Kei Suezawa is also in charge of the series composition and script. Naoyuki Asano (Urusei Yatsura) is responsible for character design and Mika Nishimura (Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction) is the art director. Music is by Kaori Sawada (When Spring Comes). The anime will be produced by Production +h studios.
Hirayasumi is an award winning manga by Keigo Shinzo. I’ve reviewed a few of the volumes before and am absolutely in love with this series. It is such a tweet and tender look at life. It’s no surprise it has been so critically acclaimed. I will be sure to share any new updates as they are made available.
