There’s nothing more romantic than having a nice evening curled up reading a tooth-achingly sweet story. At least to me, anyway. With February being the month of love, I’ve compiled some of my favorite lovey dovey BL manhwas available in print. These series are so loving and cute, you can revisit them time and time again. These are the perfect gift to ask for from your Valentine.
Cherry Blossoms After Winter
by Bamwoo – Published by Inklore

If there’s a feel good BL manhwa that everyone loves, it’s Cherry Blossoms After Winter. Seo Haebom is taken in by his childhood best friend’s, Jo Taesung, family after his parents die. This causes the boys who were once inseparable to grow distant. Now it’s their final year in high school and they barely speak to each other. Seo Haebom feels he is responsible for this and avoids Jo Taesung as much as possible. However, something causes the tides to start turning and suddenly Jo Taesung will not leave Seo Haebom alone. Can the two boys make amends and move forward together?
I love a low stakes story like Cherry Blossoms After Winter. While there are some emotional moments between the two and some pain, there isn’t a lot of drama. You can rest assured that you will be kicking your feet, blushing, and giggling a lot.

My Bias is Showing?!
Art by Eol, Story by Nabit – Published by Seven Seas Entertainment

Imagine your bias from your favorite kpop group showing up at your job and subtly making moves on you. That is Na Aejoon’s reality in My Bias is Showing?!. His bias, Choi Siyeol, is filming a reality show and has suddenly taken an interest in Na Aejoon. While Na Aejoon is confused as to why Choi Siyeol would be interested in him, he decides to go with the flow (while pretending to not be the fanboy he is!) Little does Na Aejoon know, Choi Siyeol has alternative motives for trying to win Na Aejoon over. But those motives start to crumble as the two grow closer.
I know the premise doesn’t seem super lovey dovey at first, but just trust me on this one! This story is wacky and the moments between Na Aejoon and Choi Siyeol are so cute. It isn’t long before both of them are falling for each other and working through the big misunderstandings between them.

Semantic Error
Artist: Angy, Original Story: J. Soori – Published by Ize Press

When the serious computer science major Sangwoo Choo excludes pretty playboy Jaeyoung Jang off a group project, it causes him to fail a class and miss out on an internship opportunity. Because of this, Jaeyoung Jang is determined to make Sangwoo’s life a living hell. Too bad for Jaeyoung Jang, Sangwoo is unflappable. Suddenly Jaeyoung is finding himself thinking about him Sangwoo too much. What starts off as revenge, turns into a chase Jaeyoung could have never imagined coming. Now he’s smitten and trying to make admit to feeling the same.
I am obsessed with Semantic Error. I recommend it at every turn. When Jaeyoung falls for Sangwoo, he falls HARD! It’s so cute to see this popular boy chasing after a robot who thinks feelings are “errors.” The best part is that Ize Press has also licensed the novel, so you can jump from the comic right to the novel.
On and Off
By Ai – Published by TOKYOPOP

Yiyoung Ahn will do anything to make sure his college group’s app is a success after bombing the presentation meeting with a big company. Even if that means throwing himself at big shot Director Kang. What starts off as a one-night stand quickly turns into a giant mess! Director Kang hires Yiyoung Ahn’s group (purely off merit and not the hook up) but as the two work closely together, they start blurring the lines between office cordial and flirty colleagues with benefits?
On and Off is another title that doesn’t immediately start off lovey dovey BUT the couple is so charming and makes me blush, so I consider it lovey dovey. Yiyoung Ahn is my delusional king with it comes to Director Kang but he’s not delusional for long.

I’ve talked about The New Recruit a million times and will continue to do so forever!! This story is just SO CUTE, I reread it all the time. They make it official pretty early on so you get so many good moments of them together! It’s a great series to revisit when you’re in the mood for love.
