5 BL Manhwa I Can’t Stop Rereading

I’ve mentioned time and time again that when I love a bl manhwa, I cannot stop reading it. I want to absorb the story into my skin and let it live in me forever! Especially a love manhwa that makes me kick my feet, blush, and giggle like a teenager in love. I memorize where my favorite moments are and seek them out to reread them. It is truly an obsession.

I’ve decided to compile these stories for this post and honestly, there are more so there will probably be a part two of this in the future. For ease of access, this list is for manhwa which can be read online.

Manhwa

BJ Alex (Lezhin)

In BJ Alex, a regular college student Dong-gyun meets his favorite adult cam star, BJ Alex. However, he doesn’t expect the cam star to be a student at his college. The two end up in a situationship, both steadily blurring the lines of fan, friends, and something more.

In a previous post, I discussed how much BJ Alex surprised me, so having it on this list is no surprise. I revisit this bl manhwa at least 2-3 times a month. I don’t reread the entire story because the beginning still makes me cringe (I’m sorry.) For me, the reread starts from the redemption right on to the end. What makes it worth rereading to me is how much Jiwon (BJ Alex’s real name) grows in the story. I love seeing him make the changes he needs to get his man!

Our Sunny Days (Lezhin)

Single young father Sung Ho moves to the countryside with his adorable baby after his ex leaves him. As Sung Ho is getting settled in, he meets the village head Beom Kwon, and the two hit it off. Kwon may be rough around the edges but Sung Ho is slowly bringing out his soft side.

This bl manhwa is fairly new, with only 22 chapters available so far. Despite the fact it’s just starting, it’s already so good. The chemistry between Sung Ho and Kwon is bursting through the seams, making each chapter so addicting. After each new chapter, I stop and reread the last few chapters to experience them all again. Luckily, new chapters are published every Tuesday so the wait is not too long.

Semantic Error (Manta)

If the title Semantic Error already sounds familiar, it is because the manhwa is just one of the many adaptations. This series has been adapted into a wildly successful K-Drama, novel, and anime. In it, a do-gooder outcast Sangwoo Choo whose only focus is finishing school and living his ideal life meets the wild Jaeyoung Jang. What initially starts as revenge, turns into a dreamy rivals-to-lovers story.

I discovered Semantic Error while it was in between seasons and immediately became OBSESSED. I was rereading it weekly until the new season came back. Now the story is officially complete and I can’t wait to read it from start to finish.

Spring, The Color of Love (Manta)

In Spring, The Color of Love Cheongsun and Gonghyeon couldn’t be more different. When they meet as college students, they both quickly fall for each other but painfully part. Ten years later, they reunite due to work. They start trying to piece together what happened in the past and how they can change moving forward.

Although it makes me cry, I can’t help to revisit this story often. After reuniting, it doesn’t take long for the couple to get back in each other’s arms. Despite the past, they both work so hard to be together and I love to watch it happen, over and over again.

The Dangerous Convenience Store (Manta / Lezhin [Mature Version] )

Eui-joon is a regular college student working part-time at a convenience store when he meets the sexy (but scary) Gunwoo. What starts as a consolation kiss, soon turns into a whirlwind romance between the two. Eui-joon does not know much about Gunwoo, except that he is definitely in a gang and he is definitely falling hard for Eui-joon.

Words cannot accurately describe how much I love this story. I am obsessed with gang/mafia tropes especially when the lead falls HARD for someone who is out of the world. What also makes The Dangerous Convenience Store a repeat read for me is how fun the moments between Eui-joon and Gunwoo are. A perfect mix of thrilling, sexy, and romantic.
