Last year, I created the “Who to Watch” list, which spotlighted 16 creatives or entrepreneurs from Reading, PA. In honor of the new list approaching, I followed up with the 2018 class to see what they’ve done since we started watching them.
How has your company/ brand/ you grown?
During 2018, WKiD Creations has launched a new website featuring an expanded merchandise line which now includes, men’s, women’s and children’s street wear that includes extended sizes, as well as, mugs, pillows and hats.
What did you accomplish this year?
I was involved in a number of art shows and pop up shops in Reading, Philadelphia, New York City, New Jersey and Los Angeles. My products are also now available in 3 retail locations in West Reading, Hawthorne, NJ and Brooklyn, NY.
What is the biggest lesson you learned?
I’ve learned not to be afraid to expand both what I offer and what cities I offer them in. Both wins and fails are lessons to move forward.
Has your “why” changed?
Not at all. My why will continue to be to support my children doing what I love to do, proving to them that it is possible.
What’s next for 2019?
I plan on continuing with the merchandise expansion and continue building relationships with retailers across the country.
